The Tablet Access Project

Loan of digital tablets to support the members of your organization!

Technological support for literacy and francization initiatives

Do you want to offer activities and interactive training that require the use of technological tools to the users of your community organization? Do you think that your users can improve their francization efforts by having access to a digital tool? The Literacy Foundation can lend tablets, free of charge and for a limited period, to users in your organization through the Tablet Access Project!

These tools are offered to all community organizations and adult education centres in the Greater Montreal area, thanks to the generosity of the Desjardins GoodSpark Fund.

The use of digital tablets has several advantages

Several organizations and centres use the tablet loans for their activities and training in literacy and/or francization in order to:

Attend an event or an online training;

Add an interactive side to a face-to-face activity;

Participate in online software learning;

Watch educational videos;

Access an online training platform;

Contact the Foundation’s services.

A simple approach

As a participating organization, describe your projects to us by explaining how tablets could contribute to the activities offered to your users and we will plan the loan with you according to the availability of material, in order to support of your literacy or francization initiatives.*

Testimonials

Be inspired by some of the recipients:

The Foundation has quickly adapted since the start of the pandemic to ensure that its services and programs can meet the needs of all its users. More than ever, access to digital tools has become essential to our daily lives in addition to being necessary in the pursuit of learning. The Tablets Access Project will allow us to extend our reach, through organizations in the Greater Montreal area, and to continue our mission of making Quebec the most literate and educated society.

The pandemic has shown us that technology is, more than ever, vital to evolve in our society. That is why Desjardins is proud to partner up with the Literacy Foundation to enable organizations of the Greater Montreal area to provide access to digital tools to their users and thus facilitate their access to learning.
